I went to the town meeting tonight; left early as I still don’t well enough to sit in a hard chair or stand around for a long time. Anyway, why is it that everything that goes on has to be political? I am in a small rural town; the water board and the sewer board are not combined. They are trying to combine them and change it to an “improvement” district. The purpose is our town doesn’t have enough money to support the water and sewer, and if we did so we would qualify for grants and stimulus money.
Major questions? Will ACORN be involved? Can you promise we don’t take stimulus money? BLA BLA BLA
WTF? Trust me I am all for the value of your convictions, but at the expense of a whole town?
If it doesn’t happen? The sewer system that we cannot afford to fix will most likely not work, then if that happens we have to turn the water off too. Oh, and as it sits the state could sue the town because it doesn’t meet code… Up until a couple of months ago our fire hydrants didn’t even work… /Rant
